Who do they think we are?

Here we go again. The dog and pony show that will culminate in an American 'election' is under way. It's all entertainment, designed to make you believe that wasting your vote on the people who are taking your freedom while thanking the soldiers for protecting your freedom from those who can't take it is a reasonable course of action. Before it's over, nearly $2 billion will be spent on the Presidential election alone. To what end? A continuation of the exact same BS that explains why nobody is ever surprised that a 'campaign promise' is broken. If you've ever heard the phrase consent of the governed, you must understand that the choice you make expresses your degree of consent. Choose to vote and your choices are more of the same or something different. Choose not to vote and you have implied your consent by making an active choice not to do a thing about it.

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Truth, justice, liberty, and peace have become lost in the great American love affair with the lesser of two evils. It's gotten to the point where the people don't even expect their institutions to do the right thing. If it makes a dollar or appears to save a life, any consideration for the dignity or freedom of your fellow citizens can be tossed out the window. We, the people, were not meant to cower in fear of our government; subject to any despotic imposition those elected to represent us can be paid to design. Quite the opposite. We pay them a handsome sum to protect us from encroachments upon our liberty and ensure the existence of the republic. Unfortunately, the basic principles that set The United States apart from nations ruled by common thugs are under assault from enemies, foreign and domestic, aided and abetted by the only people on the planet with the power to repel the assault. Even more unfortunate; a great majority of the American people honestly believe that they can't do a damned thing about it. Since I know differently, I am compelled to let as many as possible know... there is something you and only you can do it. Future generations are depending on you and so are the people in the target area of the next American bomb that falls.

Setting aside certain considerations concerning the people who penned the Constitution, whether they were Christians, slave holders, or rich white men looking out for the interests of rich white men, the fact remains that they thoughtfully constructed the framework of a nation where the people grant power to the government and chose representatives to exercise that power within stipulated limits. Certain powers are granted to the Federal government and others to the States. People are born into possession of rights that neither State or Federal government are empowered to remove or alter. The document that grants the respective powers to the governments within these united states begins with the three words, we the people. That means that the people in this country hold ultimate power over the government, are responsible for the actions of their elected representatives, and have an obligation to hold their elected representatives accountable, up to and including prosecution and imprisonment when necessary. That necessity arrived long before the twentieth century came across the horizon.

So, what can you do about it?

First of all, forget the idea that we have a two party system. We have a federation of 50 sovereign States. They, the two-party, have a two party system and they're using it to drive our country into the ground. It is statistically impossible for 435 individuals to consistently; independently divide themselves into two identical groups on every question. The bipartisan that they often tout as a god thing is actually buy-partisan and you have been sold out. George Washington said, "It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution, in those entrusted with its administration, to confine themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism" in his farewell address. Those words have been ignored for far too long.

Forget the hype about 'viable' candidates. Look around and you can see what they've done. Realize that the people who would have you believe that you have to keep letting the politicians do what they do are those who either want them to do it or those who want to them continue doing it. They know that without your explicit permission, they would not be able to continue or protect themselves from the ramifications of accountability. They depend on you to maintain the status quo.

Forget the notion that you have to get organized. That's an excuse to wait and not act in your own self interest. It's an abrogation of your responsibility to act; an externally implanted idea designed to restrain you. Self restraint is an admirable trait. However, it can be abused when others are allowed to determine what's important to you. The great fear is that you cannot be categorized, labeled, and subject to a strategy to be used against a given subset of the population. A hundred million individuals are an awesome force that can behave in unpredictable ways if it isn't controlled. It can only be controlled so long as a majority of the individuals submit to that control and insist that everyone else capitulate. This is not to say that you should not join an organization. What I'm saying is do not wait. Join any group you wish and be responsible for your own actions within that group. If you choose to act alone, you can participate in the coming revolution by making your voice heard at the ballot box.

Prepare yourself to participate in choosing who will occupy the seat that represents your district or State in your respective legislatures as well as who will hold the executive office in the State and Federal governments. It's a simple matter. The only requirement is that you register to vote. It's not necessary to be affiliated with any particular political party. If party affiliation is something you would choose, any number of choices are available. Some of them have no reach beyond the boundaries of your state. But, do you really need a national party when the issue is who is going to represent you in your government? It's common knowledge that a third party candidate is someone who is not a Democrat or Republican. Not commonly known is, just as the two major parties work together as one party, there are at least four organizations positioned to get names on your ballot. There are eleven political parties in my state and we had sixteen candidates for President on our 2008 ballot. The third party is an illusion presented by the two-party. The two-party colludes to prevent ballot access and strengthen the illusion that there are no other choices. You can help dispel this illusion by contacting one or more of the parties in your state. Whether you interest is getting other choices on the ballot or being one of those choices, there is something you can do to help. Simply signing a petition is a significant step. It's even possible to get on the ballot without being affiliated with a political party. An organization called GOOOH has devised a process that enables you to choose your candidate from the people who live in your district. The process relies on principle and ideas, not money and powerful friends.

I recognize the possibility that most people are perfectly happy with the government's behavior. No country has a higher percentage of its population behind bars. The national debt of $14 trillion dollars will go up every time we have a deficit. The TSA is extending its influence to every mode of travel, including roving checkpoints to stop you in your car. People cannot assume they are safe from surveillance or home invasion. Colleges are teaching basic math and writing skills to high school graduates. And, the 'well connected' are lining their pockets as we live in a constant state of war. Consider this. Peter Smith has been chosen to represent you in your State or Federal legislature. Today he is voting on a 1800 page law that he hasn't read. In the last few months he has accepted 'campaign contributions' from people hundreds of miles away from your district who would like him to vote yes. When he does cast the vote in favor of the law, is he representing the people who pay his salary or is he representing the people who bought his vote? The taking of bribes is a criminal act. The practice has become so common that people expect the law to be broken in the law making process. Most people would not even consider sending their lawmaker to jail for taking a bribe. But, let them find out that Sally is thinking about getting an abortion or that Johnny was smoking a joint and out comes the penalty book. Johnny faces losing his job or going to jail and we're still working on what to do to Sally. When it comes to deciding who is going to be running your government, what your government is doing should be more important than what's going on in the house across the street or what people are doing in the next county or State. Our fifty-one legislatures are run by two criminal gangs that make a lie of the idea that government of, by, and for the people means that the people get actual representation. And, there is no limit to the lying. Is that what you want? Fine. What follows is for everyone else.

Many people believe that it doesn't matter who you vote for. Well, they say it doesn't but they certainly don't act like it. The bottom line is there's always the choice of voting for what you want. By voting for something you don't want, you cancel the vote of someone who wants the same thing you do. Don't limit your prospects to members of the two gangs that have conspired to drive this nation to its present condition. If you're half as fed up as I am, simply decide to let the Democrat and Republican candidates end election day with the same number of votes that came with the sunrise, zero. Were that to happen, the only way it wouldn't matter is if the final vote count we're given is just another of the many lies we've been fed over the decades. For that, there is a pathway to the truth.

Millions of Americans are dissatisfied with the way the politicians are running our government. Our task is to throw the bums out and let each other know that we did it. We are fortunate that the right to peaceably assemble is one of the first to be recognized in the Amendments to the United States Constitution. Contrary to what many would have you believe, this is one of the many things we can do without having to obtain permission. We can use that right to let our fellow citizens know they're not alone. This means that we really don't have to let those with the most to gain count the votes behind closed doors and give us the results they want.

When you wake up the day after the election, The newspapers will report that one of the major party candidates won with the other coming a close second. That's to be expected. It happens all the time. You'll know that you didn't vote for them and there is a way to determine if the numbers are correct. Go to the county courthouse at high noon that day. If you can't go because you have something more important to do, send a representative; someone in your household who is too young to vote. If they're too young to go alone, send them with someone you trust. When you get there don't loiter unless there are more people present than can be arrested. Walk around the courthouse in a counterclockwise direction (unwind the clock). The number of revolutions you make will depend on what time you get there and how fast you go. At noon, everyone who is participating in the revolution will be there. If the newspaper said that 763 people voted against the major parties for the office of President and there are less than a thousand people with you, everything's fine. Go home. You gave it your best shot. Most Americans couldn't care less. Life goes on. However, if the newspaper said there should be 763 of you and you find yourself in the middle of 5,000, 10,000 or more, everyone there will know the size of the problem we have. Contact whoever you voted for to represent you in your State legislature and begin the lawful process to peaceably resolve the problem.

Regime change is the only answer. We can do it without spilling one drop of blood. You know your politicians are lying to you and you suspect the mainstream media isn't telling you the whole truth. Well, there is an upside to pulling this off. When we remove the people real journalists fear from power, a whole lot of you-know-what will make a beeline for the fan. People in other parts of the world have to take to the streets and hope their governments will listen to them. In the United States of America, all we have to do is take what's ours.

I've only one thing more to ask of you. Share this with two people you trust. If they each share it with two people next week, those two each share it with two the following week, those two each share it with two more the following week, and the trend continues, 100 million people will be aware if it in about 30 weeks. Don't trust me, do the math (just put 1 X 2 into your calculator and hit enter 30 times). Then, know that it's possible to put an end to this insanity; that government of, for, and by the people is a flower in the garden of life.

Peace on earth - Good will toward men

It's that time of year once again. The decorations will go up, cards will go out, and the hustle and bustle of preparing presents to go under the tree will get into full swing as we approach the day to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus. He is hailed as the Prince of Peace and the solemn refrain of this holiday season is peace on earth, good will toward men. This annual occurrence brings joy to many and culminates in a celebration to bring in a new year.

But, what happens in that year? Death and destruction on a global scale. People who work with very large numbers can put a dollar and cents figure to the effort that goes in to the destruction. But, there is no way to financially quantify a single life. If there were, this incalculable figure would have to be multiplied by the number of people who fail to see the following year because the dogs of war came knocking at their door. This earth, the land of peace and good will, must be a very far away place. In the 50 plus years I've walked on this planet, there has not been one day when the armies of earth haven't been actively engaged in killing someone somewhere. The death toll has been in the millions. But wait, you say. It can't be millions with an S unless it's more than one. Well, excuse me if I find no solace in being able to say hundreds of thousands when we speak of human beings lying dead in their graves, those who have found graves. An even larger number would be those wounded in some manner and, larger still, the number of loved ones left behind.

A key player in this dance of destruction is the United States government. To be fair, that's not entirely true. You see, the United States is a representative republic. In a representative republic the people choose representatives to convene in the nation's capitol and decide which way the government will behave. In a representative republic, the people are the government. So, while the statement may not be entirely true, it's more palatable than saying the people of the United States bear primary responsibility for much of the death and destruction that makes this planet a dangerous place to live.

It's because of this ability to choose that I lay blame on my neighbors and fellow citizens. Every 730 days we get together and choose our representatives. Every 730 days the vast majority absolutely refuse to choose differently. Perhaps they don't understand the roll they play in this dangerous game. Maybe they just don't know how much power they hold or the extent to which they are responsible for all of their actions. I know. And I'm pained by the knowledge that whatever I do with my one vote in a hundred million does not relieve me of that responsibility. Yes. I too, am to blame.

There are 725 days until the next time of choosing. during that time. I urge every individual with the power to choose, in these United States, to take some time to consider the value of each and every one of the six billion plus people on this planet. Take some time to consider how your choice affects those who are helpless to participate in the choosing. Those who believe, and know in their heart of hearts that there is a judgment day; prepare to know what happened, when there was no one there but you and your conscience, and be judged accordingly.

I say these things for two reasons. First, I have a selfish desire to be relieved of this burden. I also have a fervent hope for peace on earth and good will toward men AND women.

Non-Voters of America, your country needs you

There are millions of Americans who don't vote because of the choices that are put forth. There are almost as many who register independent and hold their noses while choosing one of the two evils. The time has come to break the cycle.



Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to register and vote against the bi-party. It doesn't matter who you vote for. You already know what that the people who always vote will do. What you may not know is that you outnumber the people who will vote for the winner. The objective is to put enough votes in the ballot box to keep any candidate from getting 50%. This will mean runoff elections in many states and counties. Some of these will be between the standard bi-party toadies. More importantly, there will be places where one toady has to face a candidate chosen by the people and other places where neither of the party choices finishes in the top two. These are the results that will encourage the independent voters to truly cast an independent vote in the next election.

The phrase 'take our country back' never meant 'back from the other party' until the parties realized that the people are on the verge of kicking them out. Yes, we can have it back. All we have to do is choose to have it. Use you one and only vote to tell the world that we, the people, are taking over.

So, You Want To Have a Revolution, Do You?

A twenty-first century revolution in the United States of America is something that is on the lips of more and more individuals. Unfortunately, many of the people who feel a revolution is eminent are prepared to resort to violence. In modern America, the concept is totally unnecessary. When people decide to clash in the streets with the military might of their government, someone is going to get hurt and nothing substantial will change.

What many people don't realize is, your beef isn't with the guy wearing the riot gear, beating on his shield with his baton; it's with the people who sent him. Fortunately, we have the power to change the people who are making the decisions. In fact, we can replace them with people who will turn the tools of the justice department against those who have been abusing their power to the detriment of the nation.

Know this: The people who hold office will never invite, or volunteer to be subjected to, a true investigation of what they're doing. Therefore, they will never be held accountable until we, the people, empower someone to get the job done. If, out of 300 million of us, we can't find 25,000 honest, Constitutionally astute, individuals to occupy our legislatures, we will remain on the path to chaos.

This election year, don't fall for the scam claim that the man or woman you know is right doesn't have a chance of winning. Casting a vote against him means that two others would have to vote for the one you would have; your candidate didn't loose... YOU beat him. Just say, "To hell with the lesser of two evils" and let evil go to where it belongs. This can be done peacefully, in the solitude of the election booth.

A Call To Arms

This Veteran's Day, I like to extend a sincere apology to all of the future veterans; those currently serving in an active or reserve capacity as well as those in their formative years. I'm sorry that the people of this country will not elect leaders who refuse to put you at risk for light an transient reasons; who misuse you at the pleasure of warmongers and the military industrial complex. I'm sorry that while many of you are in far off lands 'fighting for our freedoms', the United States Congress is tearing into those freedoms with reckless abandon. It's a pity that the completion of your time as government issue will begin your time as economic serf. Ladies and gentlemen, I salute you.

To current veterans: An oath never expires. It can be abandoned or rescinded but that condition does not have to be permanent. I urge any who have ever sworn to defend the Constitution to take the time to read it. It is in astoundingly clear English. Detach yourself from the interpretations of others and find out what it says for yourself. If what it says to you is decidedly different from what you see around you, recognize that enemies foreign and domestic includes those who would murder your country from within, people in powerful positions, and that you have your work cut out for you. This is not a time for bloodshed. But, it is time to open your eyes, raise your head, unbend the knee and stand for the freedom and liberty that had been bought at such a dear price. Ladies and gentlemen, let's do this.

To the citizens of every State in this union: We stand at the cusp of a new age. A scant half century ago, this country led the world in production and technological innovation, had the best educated population on the planet, had a currency that was the backbone of global exchange, and was reaching for the stars. Today, almost half of your earnings are taken by the government, the educational system can't produce students with the skill to populate half of our own graduate schools, the physical infrastructure of the country is in shambles, and we're saddled with a debt that will be faced by the grandchild of a baby born today. This has been allowed to happen because we, the people, have been invigilate; simply trusting those who seek the power to govern. As a result, we find ourselves in a position where the people who are elected to serve us operate with an absolutely blatant disregard for any sense of dignity or knowledge of right and wrong. This cannot be allowed to continue. There are two things you can do to right this ongoing wrong and both can be accomplished within your personal dignity as a human being. First, decide for yourself whether you can allow the Demopublican beast to maintain it's doupolistic stranglehold on our government and whether you will use your one and only voice, your vote, to either encourage the practice or bring it to an end. Second, seek out every opportunity to represent your fellow citizens in the capacity of juror. If you find one of your fellow citizens charged with a 'crime' that is something you, yourself, could easily have done without malice or injury to person or property, set him free. We each have an obligation to protect the other from government oppression and injustice. The hole that had been dug is deep indeed. None of us will see the end but the blessing of Liberty can be secured for our posterity if we, the people stand firm. Ladies and gentlemen, we're all in this together.

Naming Names

In his indomitable style, Kieth Olberman takes a shot at individuals clustered at both ends of the buy-partisan dildo. Sadly, the same commentary can be applied to any of the corporate interests with offices on K Street. In a "system" where your elected representatives get to choose between the people who vote for them and the people who supply the money for their reelections, who do you think is going to win? It takes no wondering to know for an absolute fact that the vast majority of "campaign contributions" are supplied from outside a representative's constituency. Mr. Olberman's use of the word duopoly can be applied in a broader sense; the two parties that have a strangle hold on our government, work hand in hand to do the bidding of corporate citizens at the expense of human citizens.

Blame the politicians for their behavior. But also blame the people who regularly refuse to stop the madness; the voters. Blame the ones who always vote Democrat. Blame the ones who always vote Republican. Blame the so called "independents" who always vote for one or both of the two. Ultimately, those are the ones who are responsible for every tax increase, deficit, war, and injustice effected by the United States of America.

The next time you hear the phrase, "they hate us for our freedoms", consider that it might be because we refuse to use them.

Surely, They Can't Not Know

I first saw this video on Ron Paul's blog over at MySpace. For me, the most striking fact is the year that it was broadcast. All of this was true in 1987. What's to say that, with a former CIA director sitting as Vice President, an actor as President, and many $200 billion deficits already on the books, that a CIA covert action had not already taken place in this country? More than half of the over 2 million people incarcerated in this country haven't done anything to anyone. Yet, we have ruthless criminals wreaking havoc on the world.

I have a passing familiarity with almost all of the facts presented in the video. And, I've observed the result of this spiraling web of deceit as it has spun it's way into the twenty-first century. What I find almost unfathomably mind boggling is the ease with which this is accepted. Ongoing atrocities at home and abroad are committed with the consent of the governed. Surely, they can't not know what is going on. I just can't understand how the vast majority of Americans can ignore it.

In a large sense, We the People are directly responsible for every act that is committed in our names. We choose who will be responsible for representing us and consistently choose those who we know will not. The approval ratings start out near 80%. Two years later, after a constant barrage of letters and phone calls begging them to do our bidding, the approval ratings will be near 20% and the same people will be reelected. People seem to exhibit no respect for their own sovereign dignity as human beings and citizens of these United States of America. It's insane.
